Pat Henderson

Pat Henderson, a retired librarian of Valencia College, has lived in Orlando since 1973.  She started folk dancing in 1974 which is where she met her husband, Bobby Quibodeaux.  Together they lead the Orlando International Folk Dance Club which is almost 50 years old.  They have also been doing Israeli dancing at the JCC every week for over 30 years.  She has been performing for decades with both groups.   Pat has been on the Board of the Florida Folk Dance Council, Inc. for almost 30 years in one office or another.  For example, she was President for three 2-year terms  in different decades.  Before retiring from Valencia, she created and was the faculty sponsor for the Cultural Dance Society.  Pat has studied the art of folk dancing extensively and has attended countless workshops and folk dance trips wherein world-renowned folk  dancers and choreographers from around the world have been on the  faculty.  Pat has performed in the past two FusionFests with both the Orlando International Folk Dance Club and the Orlando Israeli Dancers, including the Fusion Contest.  Besides having a passion for dancing, she enjoys her major vegetable gardens, playing bridge and games, traveling and now being a new grandmother.
