My name is Xianming Qidiao, but I go by Reycoln Ming. I was awarded a bachelor’s degree in Calligraphy by the Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 1999. After that, I was accepted as a Calligraphy instructor by the Affiliated School of the Renmin University of China. In 2008, I founded Beijing Jingmingrui Education Technology Development Co., Ltd. It is an Art School teaching calligraphy and painting with four campuses at Haidian District in Beijing. It has trained more than 30,000 students. Before moving to Orlando in 2019, I have been living in Miami for 5 years. I am a Chinese calligraphy professor of the World Language Department of Miami-Dade College since 2014. I am also an important backbone member of the Chinese Film Organizing Committee of the Miami International Film Festival. I recommend a large number of Chinese film directors, actors, producers, and film workers delegations to come to Florida to participate in the Miami International Film Festival and the Chinese Film Summit. I have been actively participating in various community activities sponsored by the Asian American Advisory Board for years. I have been awarded Distinguished Visitor by the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners in 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021, Certificate of Appreciation by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, U.S. Customs, and Border Protection, and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. I have been volunteering to teach Calligraphy at Miami-Dade College and Florida International University and got the Award of Excellence from FIU Chinese Club and Certificate of Appreciation from the School of Entertainment & Design Technology at MDC. I have been invited by the Chinese teaches to give Calligraphy lectures to the young citizens at the Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, and high schools, such as Gulliver, Ransom Everglades, and St. Branden. I want to make our communities better by showing Chinese culture and communicating with all the people who love the art through Chinese calligraphy.
